Monthly Moonshine #3
You don't have to be more than 5 minutes into a brisk countryside walk to find a bramble bush bursting with blackberries at this time of year. They're sharp, sweet and juicy and the perfect addition to autumn recipes. Some eat them as they come, some add them to an apple crumble, we add a glug of gin, a drop of syrup and a slash of lemon juice to create a Blackberry Bramble cocktail.
Ingredients
60ml Dry Gin
30ml Blackberry Liquor (optional)
30ml simple syrup/maple/agave
45ml lemon juice
Ginger Beer or Soda
Instructions
- Serves 3-4 -
In a cocktail shaker, muddle blackberries with gin, blackberry liquor, lemon juice and syrup until broken up and they release their juice.
