Profile

Chiara Perano is an English-Italian artist, illustrator, and ceramicist, based in East Sussex.

She creates her paintings on canvas, wall hangings, limited edition prints and also paints murals. Her work uses harmonious tones and patterns, and explores nature and our connection to the Earth, taking a holistic approach to creating art, often making her own pigments from found natural objects. Her style is inspired by her Italian heritage, La Dolce Vita, ancient mark making and celebrating the simple joys in everyday life - family, living seasonally, good food.

In 2020 she created a sell-out exclusive limited edition collection for Liberty London, and her ‘Peace’ painting for the war in Ukraine raised £20,000 for DEC and Choose Love charities. Most recently 8 large paintings hang in the new Hotel de La Boetie in Paris designed by Beata Heuman and commissioned by Partnership Editions. Her artwork features on stationery, home and fashion with the likes of Papier, Net a Porter, Mulberry and Anthropologie, and she collaborates with interior designers to create bespoke murals and artwork for private and commercial properties. Her work has been featured in Elle Decoration, House & Gardens ‘Movers & Shakers’ and Vogue.
