A LOVE LETTER TO SCOTLAND

Earlier this year I was asked to take part in a magnificent shoot, styled and coordinated by fantastic bespoke event planners Knot & Pop.  It was described to me as an opulent, romantic and indulgent, set within an atmospheric castle location, incorporating pheasant feathers, long tapered candles, wild flowers & foliage. Until I saw the gallery last week, I had only pictures in my mind of how it all came together on the day, and seeing the glorious photos Ann-Kathrin Koch shot on film exceed my expectations, capturing natural beauty, vibrant jewel colours and ethereal light. The shoot took place at Arkinglas House in Scotland, near Loch Fyne, offering fairytale woodlands, majestic lakes, and wildlife galore;  I've definitely been inspired to visit the Bonnie Land - the rugged landscape is inspiring and cries to be explored.

From a calligraphed table runner, to majestic hand-dyed shields, escort cards written onto foraged red-robin leaves, and hand painted birds on canvas banners, under Knot & Pop's artful direction I set to work on a minimal, romantic script and invitation suite, which I printed on frayed, handmade linen paper. The shoot was featured on Style Me Pretty last week and is set for print in December, which is pretty exciting. Enjoy the shots below.
