RICORDO MATRIMONIO
So excited to receive an email from a lovely client of mine, who has just sent me over some photos from her wedding last year. It's such a great feeling to see my work in situ! The wedding was simple and elegant, with tons of Italian charm and paid lots of attention to detail.
Set in Puglia, Southern Italy, the bride sourced ornaments, glasses and table ware from around Italy and the UK, bringing everything together for a romantic, polished yet rustic look. For the big day Lamplighter London created the escort cards, which were hung over a traditional well in the grounds, pebble place settings, a bespoke monogram, various words and flourishes (for the crafty bride to put together other bits and pieces) and I scribed a beautiful prose taken from the book Atonement by Ian McEwan into the first page of their guest book. It read:
“I’ve never had a moments doubt. I love you. I believe in you completely. You are my dearest one. My reason for life. ”
The photographer on the day was the talented Theresa Furey, here you can see her capturing some of my work.
The pebble place settings were a huge hit on the day, not only are they eco-friendly but also a lovely souvenir for your guests, so can double up as favours. These are finished with a polished look, but they could equally be matte.
After the wedding, I was asked to create a pen and ink cover for their photo album based on an antique cover the bride had found. "Ricordo Matrimonio" translates to "Wedding Memories"
